The Jolly Jumbucks were formed in 1991 as a means to create lively traditional Irish, English and Australian music for our own enjoyment.
In the beginning we played for family and friends, but soon after we were asked to play for bush dances for special occasions
Our first bush dance was for a band members family re-union in 1991. We followed that the same year by playing at the East Ringwood 1st Saturday of the month Bush Dance, where we have become one of the many bands playing there over the years.
Through the years there have been many changes to the line up of the band.
Maree, Bill and Katy are the core group, originally with Jacinta, Naomi, Kate and Colleen,( Maree and Bills 4 daughters.)
As they have grown up and moved on we have included other, and since 2006 the line up has been:
Bill, Maree, Katy and Bryce, with the occasional appearance of Colleen
Bill Plays : Guitar, Banjo, tin whistle, lagerphone.
